A witch's cottage is a wonderful place to be at this time of year: roots freshly dug and laid out to dry, jars of plant medicine brewing, the last of summer's herbs hung beside the first hearthfire of the year.
And, of course, a strong pot of tea or coffee brewing on the stove, because witches always take good care of our guests.
This fluffy whipped butter is infused with a few of my favorite herbs to work with in the autumn: mugwort, spicebush, and sea buckthorn.
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is a plant we use for dreaming deep dreams, and also for protection - a good friend to have around as the veils thin and the leaves fall.
Spicebush (Lindera benzion) is a friendly little tree with fragrant, delicious, warming allspice-scented leaves, twigs, and bright red berries.
Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) is packed with vitamins, antioxidants and omegas - a best friend to the skin, which is something we really need as the days grow colder.
Oh, and there's a little vanilla, sweet orange, and coffee in there too, because those things smell delicious together and make me feel like I'm wrapped in a warm blanket on a cold fall morning.
A true body butter, Witch's Cottage melts into the skin and deeply moisturizes.
Contains all natural and organic: Shea butter, coconut oil, sunflower oil, apricot oil, spicebush, mugwort, vanilla bean, vitamin E, coffee extract, sea buckthorn extract, sweet orange essential oil
4 oz or 8oz glass jar.
Storing in a cool dark place will prolong shelf life and ensure the body butter stays whipped and fluffy.
