I dreamed up this body oil while hiking through the winter woods - after a long day out in the snowy mountains, all I wanted was a warm shower, a cozy blanket to wrap up in, and a hot cup of tea.
And something to revive my skin and soothe my tired muscles after so long in the cold would be nice, too.
So I gathered evergreens as I made my way home - they have a warming effect when brewed into a tea...or infused into oil.
As I set the oil to steeping, I decided to add in a little cinnamon and ginger too, to add to the warming effect (and the delicious scent).
The result was something that smelled wonderful, rehydrated my tired winter skin, and helped to warm me up and soothe away the achiness in my overworked muscles.
I loved it so much I decided to share it here in the shop, and I've offered it every winter since.
